The camping meadow is set between 2 ancient woodlands, a Devon county wildlife site and hosts an array of wildlife. Cook traditional pizzas in the woodland kitchen and explore the land and streams.
Lickham Bottom Camping is in The Blackdown Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which offers breathtaking scenery and endless opportunities for exploration. A short drive away, you’ll find some of Devon’s most spectacular beaches— from Branscombe to the fossil-rich coastline of Lyme Regis. Or for those craving adventure, the rugged landscapes of Dartmoor and Exmoor make for unforgettable day trips.
Food lovers will delight in the fantastic local pubs and restaurants dotted around the area, while fresh seafood straight from the fishermen at Beer is a must-try. Whether you're here for relaxation or adventure, this idyllic retreat is the perfect escape.
The spaces:
Each camp includes a spacious 5-meter bell tent, furnished with a comfortable double bed, two single foldout beds, and a wood stove for warmth. Outside, a large fire pit provides a great spot for cooking and gathering. The kitchen tent is fully equipped with a kettle, a two-ring gas stove, pots, plates, cutlery, and of course a tea and a coffee pot for your morning brew. You'll also have your own private Donkey Closet, which offers a thoughtfully designed compost loo, a charming sink, and a rejuvenating outdoor hot shower, where you can bathe beneath the open sky.
There are 4 camps on the site of spread over 4 acres so each has plenty of space for privacy. The woodlands and steam are for all to discover and enjoy.
